Dr. Edmond Henderson, II is an educator and administrator with 19 years of experience in education. He started his career as an elementary teacher in Dallas ISD. After six years, he accepted a leadership position in Sherman ISD as an assistant principal. Dr. Henderson then began serving Irving ISD in 2012, where he was as an assistant principal before being appointed principal of Hanes Elementary in 2015.
Under his leadership, Hanes experienced remarkable growth each year and achieved the highest accountability rating awarded by the state. Additionally, Hanes was awarded four distinction designations for student achievement and was selected as a 2021 Dr. Jay Cummins Demonstration School by the Texas Alliance of Black School Educators, placing the campus in a small select group of high performing majority minority schools in the state. Dr. Henderson currently serves as principal of Dallas Park Elementary in Crowley ISD.
Dr. Henderson holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing from Texas Tech University, a Master of Education in educational administration from Prairie View A&M university, and a Doctor of Education in educational leadership from Dallas Baptist University. He is a proud member of the Texas Alliance of Black School Educators (TABSE) and Texas Elementary Principal and Supervisors Association (TEPSA).
